PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
Naomi began her formal education on-site at the Gemmological Association of Great Britain (Gem-A), and has subsequently achieved a first class honours degree in Gemmology and Jewellery from Birmingham City University.
Naomi has a background in modern fine jewellery retail and has a particular interest in fancy coloured diamonds, which began while working with Gems of Note for their exhibit at the AGTA show in Tucson.
This interest eventually developed into her final degree research on colour in natural pink diamonds, which she combined with a project for the NCDIA (The Natural Color Diamond Association).
Like many gemmologists, Naomi is intrigued by the ‘weird and wonderful’ and especially enjoys capturing photomicrographs of gemstone inclusions under the microscope.
