AIM OF THIS COURSE
This course explores a very select and fascinating group of gemstones (coral, jet, amber, ivory and pearls), formed through organic processes rather than through geological forces deep within the earth’s surface.
Topics include geological formation, identification (including distinguishing them from common simulants and synthetics), classification, cleaning and care.
