WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
As an accompaniment to the online theory course, Basic Gemmology, this one day intensive practical workshop will teach the student how to use each of the standard gem-testing instruments, including the 10x loupe, polariscope and conoscope, dichroscope, spectroscope, colour filters, and refractometer.
The student will also be introduced to the use of luminescence, specific gravity and magnetism in gem testing.

- Equipment will be provided during this course
- Each student will receive a GCS 10 x loupe and gem cloth.
- Please note prices are given before tax. For UK residents VAT (20%) must be added.
The student can continue their learning with Basic Gemmology and Advanced Gemmology online theory courses.
Upon the successful completion of this course you will receive a certificate of completion.
